Day 1:
• Theoretical background of the EEG generators and case illustrations
• Neuroanatomy review
• IFCN position paper (Steriade, 1990)
• Perfusion correlates (Cook, 1999)
• Epileptiform changes, including temporal mild sharp/slow (Niedermeyer,
1987)
• Montage and localization case illustration of false frontal alpha
(Gunkelman, 1998)
• Case illustrations of TBI, and the AAN position paper (Nuwer,
1997) as well as refutation of AAN position (Kuhn affidavit; Hughes/John,
1999)
• Case illustrations of epilepsy (Sterman, 2000)
Day 2:
• Case reviews by Jay
• Class case reviews in small groups (not blind to history)
Day 3:
• NF “train wreck” case reviews by Jay
• Autism case
• local cases provided
• The Final time segment is dedicated to class case reviews (not
blinded to history), with supervision of small groups by Jay

Clinical and research EEG/qEEG specialists in the world. Author of many
scientific papers, and a mounting list of books, his depth of understanding
of the mind/brain's function is unique. Jay is a popular lecturer world-wide,
and he has occupied leadership positions in the field's professional societies,
as well as running a successful EEG/qEEG business.
